Enter Kagel Canyon Rancho Gate at the end of Short Trail. Hike carefully to 2nd gate on right. Unimproved site is perched in the Foothills surrounded by Angeles Forest type terrain. The remnants of an old road & trail lead to site, which has several flat sites obscured by heavy brush. If you are tired of the crowding, congestion, density, lack of parking, accessory dwelling units, over population, etc., this might be the right spot for you. Best of all are the fabulous views of the busy San Fernando Valley & Los Angeles below from your mountain setting above it all. If you must venture down to the flat lands, you are mountain minutes away from thje junctures of the 2, 5, 14, 118, 170, 210 and 405 Freeways. Coming home off the 210, you will exit Wheatland, go west on Foothill Blvd., take a right on Osborne, to a left on Garrick, and a right on Kagel Canyon Road. You will pass the Kagel Canyon Welcome Sign, the Hideaway Bar & Grill, Dexter Park, Fire Station 74, Gold Spirit Equestrian Ranch, Glen Haven & Shalom Memorial Park and Gravity Hill.
