Historic homestead cabin, built in the 1950s as part of the Small Tract Act of 1938 (part of the Homestead Act) for sale! This magical cabin sits on 5 acres of beautiful desert land, nestled between Joshua Tree and Twenty-Nine Palms. Backed by 180 acres of Desert Preservation Land (government land that will never be developed). The cabin and property have been used as a recreational/camp cabin for the current family who lovingly call it The Pink Cabin and who have enjoyed the peaceful solitude, evening sunset walks along the many washes in the area, and the proximity to all of the fun restaurants/coffee/entertainment that Joshua Tree has to offer. The property is 15 minutes from Joshua Tree, 29 palms and Indian Cove campground (great spot for climbers!), 30 minutes from the West entrance of the National Park, and close to Wonder Valley-an amazing spot to drive through and explore all of the historic cabins in the region.

Cabin includes a pot belly stove for cold nights, a 50’s fridge we’ve been using as an icebox (works when hooked up to solar), and a vintage gas station window that can be installed as a sunset window to take up most of west facing wall.
